Institut Efficience: the “Ragout Efficience” mind map

The Efficiency Institute organized by the XOESE Fund aims to strengthen women’s and young women’s organizations, associations, groups and movements working to promote women’s rights and empowerment. The institute’s program focuses on the Institutional Leadership of Women’s and Young Women’s Organizations, and aims to strengthen their effectiveness and impact in achieving their goals.

The Efficiency Institute took place over a period of five (05) days in April 2023 in Kpalimé, located around 120 km north of Lomé in Togo, and in May 2023 online. The 25 participants came from several French-speaking African countries (Benin, Bukina Faso,Mali, RDC et Togo) to share moments of learning, work and discovery. As the course was a hybrid one, several participants, notably from the Republic of Congo, took part entirely online.

They worked together to create a mind-map entitled “Ragout Efficiency“, which brings together several essential ingredients for creating and sustaining an efficient organization of women and young women. Indeed, this mind-map is intended as a discussion starter and can be completed by others (hence the fact that the illustration shows other people coming along). 

Among the ingredients identified in the “Ragoût Efficiency” mind-map are human resources management, financial management, leadership, innovation, governance, strategic planning, community involvement, self-confidence, and many others.

By organizing this Efficiency Institute, the XOESE Fund hopes to play a key role in building the capacities of women’s and young women’s organizations committed to promoting women’s rights, by equipping them with the skills they need to successfully carry out their actions and projects.
